Cliford Mogoboya, professionally known as SnoopDrum, is a South African marimbist, drummer, and music educator whose artistry bridges African musical tradition with contemporary sound. Born and raised in Seshego, Limpopo, he has developed a distinctive musical identity by blending Afro-pop, Private School Amapiano, and modern African music with the rich, expressive tones of the marimba and live percussion. From an early age, SnoopDrum discovered that rhythm was more than music—it was a language for storytelling, cultural preservation, and human connection. His musical journey began through performances at community events, schools, churches, and corporate functions, where his exceptional musicianship and energetic stage presence quickly earned him recognition. Today, SnoopDrum is widely recognized for transforming popular songs into captivating marimba interpretations that appeal to audiences of all ages.
