Gigster connects people planning events with vetted South African talent and event service providers. Musicians, bands, DJs, MCs, comedians, keynote speakers, dancers, specialty performers, photographers, videographers, content creators, event planners, production and technical suppliers, styling and décor, hospitality, and more — all in one marketplace.

Deposit protection, signed booking agreements, and verified reviews are built in — so both sides of every booking are covered from first enquiry to final payment.

What we do

Clients browse talent, send an enquiry, and deal directly with the vendor to agree terms. Once they accept a quote, a signed booking agreement is generated and the deposit is held securely. The balance is released to the vendor after the event. Reviews can only be left by clients who booked through Gigster — so the ratings you see are real.

Vendors get a professional profile, a quote builder, secure payouts, Gigster Direct (invoice and collect from your own clients at near-zero cost), and Gigster Studio — an AI content tool that builds your social media presence from your booking history.

Why Gigster exists

Booking event services has always run on WhatsApp threads, unsigned quotes and deposits paid on trust. Gigster brings it onto one platform where the client’s money is protected, the vendor has a signed agreement to stand behind, and both sides have a record.

We’re building trust and payments infrastructure for live events in Africa — starting with South Africa. The platform is designed to scale across all 54 African countries; only South Africa is active right now.

Gigster was founded by Carina Bruwer — South African entrepreneur, musician, and events industry professional.
