Driven by the powerful motto, "Grooming Victors, not Victims," Malenas (born Lena Mdakane) is an award-winning South African gospel artist, motivational speaker, and community visionary. As a resilient rape survivor, she has turned her pain into purpose, using her multifaceted platform to mentor, groom, and bring hope to women and young girls navigating the trauma of Gender-Based Violence (GBV). Through her record label, Malenas Music Empire, she actively creates life-changing opportunities for aspiring artists, providing them with the professional resources, backing, and safe platforms they need to record their music live. Furthering her humanitarian mission, she directs the Malenas Foundation, which focuses explicitly on empowering marginalized women, looking after the vulnerable elderly, and grooming the next generation of youth through the creative arts of music and a dynamic live talk host and event producer, Malenas masterfully curate's topic-driven community dialogues on
