Lindiwe Mokoena is a Gauteng hockey midfielder who was selected for the SA U18 women's squad in 2025, the same year she captained Southern Gauteng's U18 side. In 2024, she was named player of the tournament at the U16 interprovincial tournament. Her defining moment came when she captained Southern Gauteng to the U18 interprovincial final after the team finished bottom of their pool in the first round. She has also had to fight her way back from a broken wrist in 2024 that kept her off the field for four months, training her fitness and footwork daily until she returned in time for national trials. A Grade 11 learner at St Mary's School, she also helps coach the U10 girls at her club on Saturdays. Lindiwe speaks on resilience and comebacks, goal setting and discipline, and youth development, drawing on lessons from captaincy, injury recovery and competing at national level. She is available for keynote speaking, coaching clinics and appearances with schools, universities, sports clubs and federations, and presents in English and isiZulu.
