Seth Cort

About

Seth Cort is a folk singer-songwriter and solo live performing musician born and raised in Cape Town, with professional experience in performing at weddings, corporate events, private functions and various venues & restaurants in the Western Cape. Seth's inspirations are rooted in the rich heritage of folk music and shaped by modern indie influences, his sound weaves together the emotional authenticity of The Lumineers, the narrative depth of Noah Kahan, and the innovative spirit of Mumford & Sons. By incorporating Jeremy Loops' rhythmic energy and James Bay's storytelling prowess, he crafts songs that bridge the gap between traditional folk and contemporary expression, creating music that speaks to both heart and mind. Cort's live performances consist of a variety of covers and original songs that are performed in his warm acoustic folky style, matching the energy and feel of any venue or audience he plays too. His cover setlist is very well rounded, consisting of a variety of classics, older & newer songs, spanning from the 80’s to now. So whether you’re looking for subtle & smooth or upbeat & energetic, I bring it all to the table.
