Riaan Steyn

Dr Riaan Steyn is a classical pianist and is able to adapt (arrange) any song for piano for any occasion. Besides having a massive repertoire that includes music from the genres classical, adult-contemporary, songs from musicals, pop, and jazz music, Riaan can also play by ear with ease. He obtained a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree, as well as Licentiate (Cum Laude), and a PhD from the University of Stellenbosch and is working on a second PhD at NWU®. Riaan is also an organist, arranger, orchestrator, composer, and music producer who has worked on more than 500 albums to date, and worked with renowned artists like Sir Brian May (from QUEEN), Soweto Gospel Choir, Stef Bos, Amira Willighagen, etc. Traxtudio started off in the bedroom of Riaan Steyn in 1994. He is still the CEO of the group today, which grew to an international corporate media and entertainment specialist company with branches in South Africa, Australia and South America.
