The Kholwa Brothers are an exciting, highly skilled, seasoned, experienced and internationally renowned 10 - piece Traditional Acapella(Isicathamiya) group which was formed in 1990 by Derrick Mlambo. Based in Durban- KZN, this multi-awards winning group has attained the best South African vocal group status through developing their routine locally and internationally. Isicathamiya music is a popular acapella singing style that is accompannied by soft and fluid movements. The genre is popular and indigenous to South African people. The word "KHOLWA" is a Zulu word for "A believer". The Kholwa Brothers are the CHAMPIONS OF THE WORLD 2022, HAVING SCOOPED 32 GOLD MEDALS and 16 SILVER MEDALS FROM THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS OF PERFORMING ARTS which were held in LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA,USA. The group has six albums under its belt. The group has been to almost all the Provinces of South Africa and has been to Countries like BRAZIL,GERMANY,USA, SOUTH KOREA AND OTHERS.
