About
Carina Bruwer is one of Africa's most decorated open water marathon swimmers, an accomplished musician, and award-winning entrepreneur who translates extraordinary personal achievement into powerful keynote presentations. Her ultramarathon swimming résumé includes iconic crossings of the English Channel, Gibraltar Straits, False Bay, and Messina Straits, among others. She is a nominee to the International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame and ranked among the World Open Water Swimming Association's "Top 50 Most Daring, Courageous and Audacious" swimmers globally. In 2014, she founded Swim For Hope, raising over R1 million for South African causes. Beyond competitive swimming, Carina founded instrumental supergroup Sterling EQ and performs on international stages. As a keynote speaker, she delivers authentic, high-impact presentations on resilience, leadership, innovation, and exceeding perceived limits. Her clients span banking, insurance, corporate leadership, and technology - including Momentum, YPO, Woolworths, ABSA, Sanlam, FNB, and Women in Tech.
